The person behind the tweezers

Hi, I'm Detoun.

I started lashing in a corner of my bedroom with one lamp and a lot of patience. Six years later I run a small studio in Lekki and an academy that has put tweezers in the hands of more than fifty women across Lagos.

My rule has not changed: your natural lashes come first. Nothing heavier than they can carry, nothing that takes your set down with it when it sheds. That is why my clients keep the same lashes for weeks instead of days.

What they say after two weeks

★★★★★

Three weeks in and I have barely lost any. I stopped wearing mascara completely.

Amaka · Lekki
★★★★★

She actually listens. I asked for something my mum wouldn't side-eye and she nailed it.

Tomi · Ikoyi
★★★★★

Did the two-week class in March. I've made back the fee twice over from my own clients.

Services

Pick your set, then pick your slot.

Prices are for the full appointment, patch test included where needed. Refills are priced from your last full set — after four weeks it counts as a new one.

Before you come

Small things that protect your set

Come with clean, bare lashes

No mascara, no eyeliner, no oily moisturiser near the eyes. Anything left on the lash line stops the glue from bonding and costs you retention.

Keep them dry for 24 hours

No steam, no sauna, no crying at a wedding. After the first day you can wash your face normally — in fact, please do.

Wash them, don't avoid them

A foaming lash cleanser every other day keeps the line free of oil and makeup. Clean lashes last longer than protected ones.

Refill every 2–3 weeks

You shed natural lashes daily. A refill tops the set back up. Past four weeks there is usually too little left to build on and it becomes a full set.

The academy

Two weeks to a skill you can charge for.

Small groups, dummy heads first, real models before you leave. You finish with a kit in your hand and a set you did yourself in your portfolio.

EARLY BIRD · LIMITED SLOTS

Questions we get every cohort

Before you enrol

Do I need any experience?

No. Most students have never held a pair of isolation tweezers. We start at lash anatomy and build from there.

Do I need to bring a model?

Models are arranged for you, but if you bring a friend in week two that's even better — you'll be more relaxed on someone you know.

How many people are in a class?

Small on purpose. Enough hands for me to correct everyone's angle before a bad habit sets in.

Can I pay in two parts?

Yes. A deposit holds your slot and the balance is due before the first live model day.

What happens after the two weeks?

You join the graduates' group. Send photos of your sets, ask about retention problems, get pricing help. That part doesn't expire.
